My name is Olive Badgley (or at least it is on this blog where all of the names have been changed). I am a single female giving the online dating scene another try. But in an effort to prevent my overly critical side getting in the way, I thought I would let a few of my friends choose my dates for me.
I grew up in the country and the suburbs of a midwestern city (I get to claim both as a product of divorced parents). But now it's the city that I call home and at the moment that city is Chicago. I've traveled a lot in my life and I don't intend to slow down any time soon. It's one of my many hobbies and on any given day I may list a different one in my top five. Because I have so many interests and not enough time for them all I've become a bit of a conundrum. I like staying in and reading as much as I like to go out dancing and acting like a fool with friends.
And since this is a dating website, here is a bit about who appeals to me: I like someone that has a variety of interests, stays active, is outgoing and social, can carry on an intelligent conversation, has a sense of humor, isn't afraid to be a bit goofy at times and mostly appreciates me (and at least tolerates my cat). Most important is a connection, for me it's all about how well you get along with someone when you actually meet in person.
